Winter Solstice Celebration

Friday, December 17, 1998, 8:00 PM at the home of Patrice Ingrassia and Chris Broda, 89 Jane St., Hartsdale.

The winter solstice is always a warm spot before the cold, especially with all the old and new feminists to commune with. This year we will add a new tradition to the party, a white elephant penny auction to benefit the new shelter for abused women in Mamaroneck. Please bring any small item you think someone may covet and bid on for our auction. Also bring a potluck dish for the table if you want to share. We have invited David Raff, who is litigating NOW’s suit against the State Division of Human Rights to join us as well.

Directions from the Bronx River Parkway: From the north, exit at Green Acres/Hartsdale. Go left at end of ramp, crossing over parkway. Bear left in front of church. Turn right at traffic light, go one block, and turn right at light at Fenimore Road/E. Hartsdale Ave.  Then follow ** below. From the south, exit at #15 Fenimore Road/Hartsdale. Go left at end of ramp onto Fenimore Road/E. Hartsdale Ave. **Cross on bridge over parkway.  Bear right at curve and continue through town, passing through three traffic lights.  One block after third light is Caterson Road; make right and continue straight on it up hill.  Continue to end of Caterson. Turn left onto Jane St. Second house on right is #89, with a double driveway.

Directions from other parkways: Get to Central Park Ave. (Rte. 100).  Heading north, the third street on the right after Hartsdale Ave. is Jane St.; heading south, it is the third street on the left after the light at Chatterton Pkwy.  Drive up the hill to #89 on the left.
