Westchester NOW

Join NOW members at the home of NOW member Paula Gilbert in Hastings-on-Hudson to share good feminist company with good food and drink. Spouses, partners and friends are welcome!

The refreshments will be finger foods, salad, desserts, chips and dips, etc, if you wish to bring something.

Susan Maurer, a poet and NOW NYC member, will read from her poems on women's lives and the environment.We will cap the evening with a review of activities of the past year and plans for the future. We will also elect officers for the coming year.

Directions to the Summer Solstice Party

From Sprain Brook Parkway: Take Jackson Ave. exit. Follow Jackson Ave. West across Thruway, across 9A, across Saw Mill Parkway. In Hastings, Jackson Ave. becomes Ravensdale Ave. Got to end of Ravensdale (Tee). Turn right onto Farragut. Go past high school on right to traffic light. Continue onto Broadway (Route 9 - Food Emporium will be on your left side). Go 2 blocks to next traffic light. Turn right onto Villard Avenue (small park with cherry trees on corner on right). Go up hill. Take second right turn onto Darwin Avenue (Dead End sign). 22 Darwin Ave. is 4th house on left side of street.

From Saw Mill Parkway: Take Farragut Parkway/Hastings exit (traffic light). Follow Farragut into Hastings. Go past High School on right to traffic light. Continue onto Broadway (Route 9 - Food Emporium will be on your left side). Go 2 blocks to next traffic light. Turn right onto Villard Avenue (small park with cherry trees on corner on right). Go up hill. Take second right turn onto Darwin Avenue (Dead End sign). 22 Darwin Ave. is 4th house on left side of street.

From Tappan Zee Bridge: Take Broadway (Route 9) south through Tarrytown and Irvington. In Dobbs Ferry, Route 9 turns right. Stay on Route 9, pass Stop and Shop on your left. Continue on Route 9 into Hastings. Pass two traffic lights very close to each other (Warburton Ave. goes off to your right). Go 2 blocks to next traffic light. Turn left at light onto Villard Avenue (small park with cherry trees on corner on right). Go up hill. Take second right turn onto Darwin Avenue (Dead End sign). 22 Darwin Ave. is 4th house on left side of street.
