Westchester NOW Newsletter - Summer 2001

NOW Phone Update

We want to thank Joan Katzman for her long-term volunteering on our Hotline. Also, Joan Katzman is the new contact person for all interested individuals who want to become members of our chapter.  Hotline volunteers will be contacting her with information about prospective members so that she can send out a packet and application to join our chapter.

What’s the NOW Phone, you ask? and how can you help? Westchester NOW telephone volunteers answer requests for information and make referrals to community organizations and agencies. Most volunteers take phone calls one evening each week. The NOW phone messages can be checked from the comfort of your own home! Our outgoing message includes information about upcoming meetings and events, and about drives to support local, state, and federal legislation favoring equality. The NOW telephone is a vital link between the Westchester Chapter and the local community. Please call (914) 428-7744 if you are interested in becoming a telephone volunteer.  ¨
