Veteran Feminists of America is an organization founded by pioneers in the second phase of the women's movement (1967 to 1975). However, membership is open to all. Young women may be particularly interested to find out about the women who won them so many rights that we all enjoy today.

In order that our not be lost as is so much of women's history, VFA is currently collecting biographies of these pioneers. Several events are held each year in New York City and other hotbeds of feminism to honor these pioneer women. They are planning a celebration of feminist artists Nov. 6, 2003, in New York City.

Hilda Demsky of our Westchester NOW chapter will be one of the honored artists. We will notify you in a future newsletter when we get more details.
