Westchester NOW - Spring 2002
Westchester NOW members take action.
Roe v Wade Action On January 22, to commemorate the twenty-ninth anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Westchester NOW members distributed flyers from five to seven p.m. at the White Plains train station. Despite the cold and lateness of the hour many weary commuters accepted the flyers, and some stopped to share their interest and thank us for our action. In addition to copies of the letters that you can send from the web site (http://www.westchesternow.org) the flyers contained information about the global gag rule that denies U.S. aid to international family planning organizations that use their own funds to provide abortion services, counsel patients about abortions, or lobby their governments to change the legal status of abortion.¨
