Would you like to play a more active role in Westchester NOW? Just have a little spare time here and there? Then choose something from the list below and leave us your name and evening phone number at the NOW phone (428-7744). Help us be more effective advocates for women in our own backyard!

Pass out 10 postcards on the Human Rights Commission to Friends and Neighbors The postcard urges the county board of legislators to establish a Human Rights Commission in Westchester.  They need to hear from us.

Help out with the NOW Conference in White Plains on Saturday, October 2 Leave your name and number by September 15. We'll get back to you with the specifics.

Be A Campaign Volunteer To do campaign work, call the NOW phone. If you can make phone calls, call the Westchester Coalition for Legal Abortion at 946-5363. Candidates for the county legislature and the judiciary will be running for election.

Be A Liaison to your county legislator Can you periodically contact your county legislator by phone, mail, email, or in person? We are looking for at least two liaisons per district. Work with the  Chapter executive committee to advance the issues. No experience required.

Become a NOW Phone Volunteer Westchester NOW telephone volunteers answer requests for information and make referrals to community organizations and agencies. The NOW telephone is a vital link between the Westchester Chapter and the local community. Please call (914) 428-7744 if you are interested in becoming a telephone volunteer.
